I think the significance of the announcement is in the phrase "to execute upon the opportunities ahead of [AdAlta]". The skill set to start-up a biotech and advance to pre-clinical will be different to the skill-set to move through clinical development and negotiate partnership deals. AdAlta is in a transitional gap which in reality is perfect timing.
The resignation of the CEO has come soon after the appointment of a new NED which may or may not be related. The question is whether the science is moving forward. We will know a lot more when the new CEO is appointed. What skill set will the new CEO bring to the party and whether the strategy moving forward is to create the kind of multi-billion antibody company showcased in the most recent presentation at Bioshares Biotech Summit.
