"But you 2ic went straight for the jugular."... what you on about, everyone was talking it up as a show of faith and I just pointed out options expiry day was the reason? I don;t blame him for not tipping in another $157k cash... that's half his salary before tax and he's looking to make his fortune i guess, not shrink an old one like Chappy. Use your brain for a change... if Dean was looking to be shifty and maximise his personal again he would have exercised his options earlier at higher prices long ago but he waited until the last minute so 'timing' was not an issue or accusation that could be made.
Dean is all in DRE... his salary, his upside share exposure, his reputation as such... all in right. All in when there is ALWAYS a possibility exploration fails, the markets collapse, and DRE goes back to shell value and his share incentives are worth nothing. I don;t know his personal situation, kids and other financial commitments, but I'd be advising him not to borrow $150k to double down a punt on DRE because it's unbalanced risk for a family man who will do very well if DRE succeeds playing safe. Look around... very few MDs actually put much of their own cash into the ponies they riding, unless it's a rock bottom, got inside confidence thing (which I assume it isn;t for DRe otherwise he would have punted the extra $150k).
I'm spot on with him not stumping up $150k of his own cash given I don't think he is rich, spot on that director holdings are like hotel California, spot on that he sold more thna he had to covering the oppies and tax (take that as you all like) and of the view DRE's projects are low value relative to share price atm (on record so no surprise to anyone here) which obviously biases my opinion as to whether or not he should have covered the oppies with his own cash or shares sell down.
You sir are a paranoid ignoramus of the lowest order...
