re: Ann: MNM: Exergen Seeks ASX Listing Via M... Obe Wan, the demo plant is only going to be 50 t/h. Hardly economy of scale. I'd expect it to be dismantled. Remember that the Bacchus Marsh project is 20m tpa. That's about 2,000 tonnes per hour!

The demo is in the Latrobe Valley so as to qualify for the ALDP grants which stipulate that projects must focus on the Latrobe Valley. Now Exergen have no brown coal allocation yet, so they can't trumpet a project in the LV. That time will come I am sure. The not insubstantial problem of lack of infrastructure in the Latrobe Valley does remain however. No rail, pipeline or port exists to freight and ship 20m tpa out of the LV.

The rail infrastructure exists at Bacchus Marsh and there is port capacity at Geelong, which will need an upgrade and is part of the $2 billion capex for the Bacchus Marsh project.

I agree that Exergen will be successful with Aldp grant and an S7 allocation. I also agree that the tide has turned for them. For many years they have attempted to push various governments to grant them access to brown coal at LV and get an export project up and running.

And I agree they are where they want to be now (probably about three years behind due to waiting on govt action).

And where they are right now is on the cusp of listing on the asx, more than ready to build a CHTD demo, apply for S7 coal, prove their technology and progress BFS at Bacchus Marsh and build their first export project at BM. Then they will develop Latrobe Valley, more than likely with a slurry pipeline to port. Two huge projects in the pipeline. When they state their LV projects publicly on the asx, well ypu can imagine the investor interest that would create can't you?
