Not familiar with Geraldton but the norm at Bunbury:
Can get tonnage loaded either by ship survey or by integrator reading from loading conveyor.
There would be an auto sampler taking cuts as product is loaded.
The sample can be up to 150kgs from a 10kt shipment, sample is split down and a representative sample sent to an independent lab for analysis.
Moisture content and elements in lc are assayed.
