GGP CEO was asked if there was any other mining or exploration company, aside from Newcrest that he'd like to work with, he responded by mentioning RIO and Northern Star.

GGP has a world class tier-1 asset in Havieron to leverage with, and exploit the best outcomes for themselves. They have some good options to work with. If Minyari is indeed similar to Havieron, a vertical orebody increasing in high grade at depth, then I'd say AZY would have better leverage, as it's 100% owned and starts near surface

But in terms of takeover, the present situation seems unique in RIO and Newcrest being indirect partners of some sort through AZY. I really don't know how it'll all play out eventually
