We don’t know at this stage how Zantrene protects the heart from chemo damage, just that it must involve more than FTO since the other known FTO inhibitors didn’t provide this protection. We will work it out I am sure (might take some time), but ultimately it is what Zantrene does in patients that really matters, not the molecular mechanism.
