Good thing that the Federal Govt doesn’t have much of a say in onshore gas projects.
The federal government cannot just “undo” a state approval because it doesn’t like it politically — but it can intervene and stop or delay new wells if there’s a legal environmental trigger under the EPBC Act.
We can only hope that if the libs don’t get in, that labour has a win big enough to not need to run a minority government where deals with the greens need to be done.
