Nothing to do with the gastro-intestinal tract, they're talking about the IV (intravenous injection) trial. They inject RCE327 into the blood stream, the kidneys filter things out of the blood (like they are supposed to) and so the RCE327 ends up in the urine. And it would seem there's still an effective concentration of RCE327 in the urine. A very interesting side effect that's certainly worth exploring. Many drugs work out like that, they develop them for one thing and find it's even more effective at something else. After all, viagra was developed for heart issues, that's not what it's known for now!
