Doesn't that mean that the because it is fine grained the flow of massive sulphides cooled very quickly when it was expelled from down deep. Cooling quickly means the fine grains of Ni didn't have time to coalesce and from that it might mean all we are ever going to find is this thin ribbon of Ni which may have the odd thicker section to it. Enough to be profitable , but not a company maker.
