But your post suggested that the Company's focus has been on just one drug and implied that the mention of progressing other pipeline candidates is somehow new. My point was, it's not.
Your post also suggested that the motivation for progressing further candidates is need of a safety net if the lead candidate doesn't work out. To some degree this could be said about any drug pipeline.
The "tell-all" Phase 1 results of the lead candidate you refer to won't be known until later next year (if development of the lead candidate progresses successfully).
The Company has made it quite clear over the past 9 months that they won't just be sitting on their hands until then. Much has been said about efficiency of design and short time frames in what they’re doing. They need to demonstrate the truth of those statements. From my perspective, that’s what they’re doing and that’s what they should be doing.
