OST has no plan or desires to merge with BSL.

The merger provides no value to OST. Steel making is dead in Australia. The only scenario I can think of is if BSL sp hits 20cents and OST picks up Port Kembler on the cheap. But still, it's not an attractive proposition if they are still going to make a loss selling domestically. If the business doesn't generate profit, why buy itfor $1.

Remember BSL yesterday admitted to ponder shutting up shop entirely. Somehow, the press didn't pick up on this.

If anything, OST probably also wants to ditch steel making entirely as cheap Chinese imports floods the country. Ditching Whyalla steel works is politically difficult to do now, but another 6 months of loss making I am pretty sure OST will become a full fledged miner altogether.

Wouldn't be surprised (to rid the steel legacy) we'll get to vote for a company name change to One Resources. This in itself will send the sp up several notches.
