The gains won't be as big as people imagine because if you go to any supermarket in China you can still buy cheap wines like Rawson's Retreat. What TWE did to partially get around the tariffs is put South African wine in their bulk wine to send to China and send Australian wine to places where it was treated fairly. If you buy a bottle of Rawson's Retreat in China, it says "Made in South Africa" on the back.
Apparently Australias got a glut of shiraz of $1 billion they are desperatly need to get rid of
Looks Like China is in a bargin for good Aussie wine !
