Hi Tim. Looking at GBE in their annual report last week appears govt will provide them a long awaited DA/ML in next 8 months - the past govt was a joke re mining so this bodes well for SVM. "Malawi Mining & Trade Review" has this article and all things mining related - indeed Malawi related.
Although the graphite is well advanced and also hosted in same soft saprolite ground bringing cost saving benefits - it has not progressed and the company has not mentioned its progress. Problem with graphite is demand has not been forth coming as anticipated but rutile very different with very favorable supply/demand metrics. Still SVM are a ways off with no scoping study yet or a JORC which is a given - it's huge.
See Iluka smashed yesterday as expected on its seperation of a lucrative earn in royalty and its mineral sands business. Still - $5 a share for the mineral sands business only is something to salivate for SVM.
I agree "C" - sell off/takeover option would be high on agenda.
