Unfortunately past behaviour tends to be a good predictor of future behaviour. I wouldn’t expect Gary or Jeff to change their tune any time soon. In the same way certain State politicians are anchored to hard border lockdowns despite mounting pressure (and good reasons) to relax them. To change the way they do things would be an admission of failure on their part and most people’s egos get in the way of that kind of self awareness.
