Actually, it's better if 'no' votes are lodged only shortly before voting closes.
E&P will be watching the vote count closely, every single day. If it looks like the vote will be close but fail, E&P will spend more of our money trying to get more 'yes' votes. So what we should do is hold off voting until only a few days before voting closes. Then they won't have enough time to spend our money trying to screw us.
Note that if you're going to do this, MAKE SURE YOU DO ACTUALLY VOTE!!!! It would be a disaster if the vote passed on a thin margin because 'no' voters had forgotten to vote.
