Yes unlisted valuations are likely all marked too high.
However, when comped against publics, you should probably expect unprofitable tech/venture style PE investments to fall 80%+ from 2021 values vs old world profitable PE investments that should fall considerably less.
I doubt these PE fund have market anything they own down much even when public comps would indicate they very much should.
So important to have a rough understandng of the mix of investments in each CD.
