Good question,
By the time this is proven up to a mining stage. Solar/wind, maybe even nuclear! Will be capable of providing the energy.
And robotics will help wage issues. Not wanting to see people lose jobs, but robotics are already here, and improving.
Remember, we are still at least 3 plus years away, (if all goes according to what we are seeing so far,) to mining.
Look how far technology has come in the last 3/5/10 years. And Australia has been a leader in mining technology with automation.
