Because government agencies are known to always keep to their timelines(said no one ever!).... ATO in this case, not sure publicly announcing their incompetence around the delay is the best way to give them a hurry up.
Im sure the assay results will come in due course, the amount of delayed results i have seen in my life from companies big and small mean that I keep company timelines such as this as guidelines only, you must have had a charmed life to only encounter business's that report ontime everytime.
