I'm pleased to see something happening and quickly. I'm not going to lie I thought that JD was going to be doing the exploration work but thinking about it now realise that is probably a confict of interest.
Gonna collect some thoughts quickly, bearing in mind I havn't done any real deep digging since the Castor project was announced, I was invested before then chasing Antimony.
17/8 - Numerous targets identified at the Castor.
*Satellite and radar analysis have generated over 100 targets.
*Highres LiDAR sheduled for late October/ early September.
*Dirt Exploration contracted to interpret the data from Satellite, Radar, Historical Geochem.
"Once access to the property is approved, Summit will conduct helicopter-supported property traverses tomap and collect rock chips from the pegmatite occurrences and the interpreted Sentinel and SAR targets. This work is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete"
2.5 weeks later...
5/9 - 228 Pegmatites Identified in Image Analysis at theCastor Lithium Project.
*High-resolution LiDAR survey complete with results due soon.
*Engaged GeoCloud to source, process, and interpret Sentinel-2Multispectral Imagery for identification of outcropping potential Li-pegmatite within the Castor Project.
*228potential pegmatite outcrops were located within the Project, with the capture of outcrop noted as beingconservative.
"The work of GeoCloud expands upon earlier work completed by Dirt Exploration, resulting in severaldistinctive mineral occurrence clusters on the Project’s western limb that potentially reflect pegmatiteand lithium-bearing minerals. Several targets from the two work programs overlap within the Project’s central hinge, providing confidence to the targets as each consultant's approach was independentand, yet, derived the same interpreted target"
"Summit will shortly conduct helicopter-supported property traverses to map and collect rock chips from thepegmatite occurrences and the interpreted Sentinel and SAR targets with this work expected to becompleted this Quarter"
1 week later...
12/9 - Exploration commences at Castor lithium project,James Bay, Canada.
*Summit has partnered with highly regarded lithium-focused geological consultancy CriticalDiscoveries Corporation who will manage the exploration program.
*The CDC team has commenced active field reconnaissance of the southern and central targets, particularly those with ready access near the James Bay Road and powerlines.
"CDC will split the exploration into two phases with the exploration team basing itself out of the town ofRadisson. Phase One is a ground reconnaissance phase investigating interpreted pegmatite targets withready access to the James Bay Road and powerlines that traverse the Project. Phase Two will be areconnaissance heliborne programme to the lesser accessible targets."
12/9 - 1 minute audio clip.
"Over the past few months, we have been working dilligently to refine our targets for this program, giving us the best chance at exploration success. Over 300 potential pegmatite occurances have been interpreted."
13/9 - SUM Twitter/X post.
"The SUM exploration team is in the field at the James Bay Castor Lithium Project after the recent fires, and with mobile service across the entire tenement for communications, report the project has amazing access & they are 'now on the hunt.'"
And a picture of a rocky outcrop front and centre of the photo.
After consolodating these points here, i've realised
*That we have gone from 100 to over 300 potential targets in the space of 2 months.
*Multiple geo consultants have come to the same conclusions from the available data.
*They have kept to the announced timeframe to achieve the LiDAR survey, awaiting results.
*Within a day of tying up the ownership they are doing exploration work.
That certainly improves my confidance.
Fingers crossed I get the time this weekend to spend a few hours on my computer doing a deep dive over what the others around us are doing.
I hadn't given the fire situation much thought to be honest, but looking at that photo, I have realised that now (ie the next 12 months) is the best time to get in and assess what we have before the undergrowth takes hold again.
I am from the Far North Coast NSW and I remember the fires that went ripping through the district in 2019. Back then I was still practicing my trade full time I used to spend a lot of time up and around Drake/Tabulum and up to Tenterfield, and I remember talking to some of my customers up there who were finding old adits, shafts and wells on their properties that they didn't even know were there, as they had always been hidden under dense scrub. Granted that the scrub in James Bay probably doesn't have the problem of dense weedy undergrowth like we do here thanks to Lantana and Elderberry etc it still is the ideal time to get out there and eyeball the areas of interest and take the samples so they know where to clear should we get to drilling. I gotta take my hat off to them for getting onto it so quickly.
Reading all this again today has really improved my confidance, like, a lot.
5m MC. Options are more or less in the money at around 12m MC.
Everyone else around us at a higher cap than us.
Mr Schapiro on LLI, LLI currently at 75m MC. Announced Spod at Trieste, SP ran from around 45c to nearly 70c in one trading day.
Lots to come here imo.
GL all DYOR etc etc.
Regards, OP.
