Dropping by here once a week is like reading the comics in the weekend paper. Both the announcements and commentary continue to lack any substance. The ability to appear Yoda like surely is attainable for anyone with any intelligence.
The most recent announcement by UNX that required a page of selling failed to state what projects or companies this gentleman previously worked on over such an extensive career. Thus leaving one to presume he is just an employee with no real credibility, so why the announcement one must ask.
The continued assertion that Mr Chalmers was of little value to UNX highlights how far and or ignorant some can be from the truth. Mr Chalmers was pursued with vigour by the company as they recognised they had no relevant sector experience. Mr Chalmers a true industry expert lead UNX out of the hole it was in and then was targeted by a real company that wasn't being undermined from within.
My positions within the local sector are simple and based on a simple strategy. Follow smart and proven people. PDN which speaks for itself with those who have joined the business and PEN which remarkably was in a similar position to UNX last year yet is now streaks ahead. For interested parties looking to understand why, have a look at the latest PEN presentation and compare it to what comes from UNX. Finally an educated punt on BLR which is already up 30% based on Mr Simpson joining the business and value offereddue to the potential of the stock.
There are many small stocks that look promising, unfortunately UNX is not delivering and confidence is low as confirmed by existing shareholders who weren't prepared to support the company at todays price.
