re: Ann: Exploration potential target 280-350... TwinTurbo,

CTP is actually a very good comparison to LBY in terms of SP vs Potential.

Besides CTP's other excellent prospects in oil and CSG, in terms of UCG potential resources, the best comparison yet.

CTP also has an "Exploration Potential target" report prepared by the same independent appraisers, Al Maynard and Associates, in Feb this year.

Here is an extract from the independent report, which summarises it perfectly imo.

""This report concludes that there is an “Exploration Target Potential” within the petroleum permits for 1.1 to 1.4 trillion tonnes of coal less than 1000 metres below the surface, at an as yet unspecified coal quality although drilling results to date indicate the coal generally being sub-bituminous in rank. The potential below 1000m is a further 0.7 to 0.9 trillion tonnes of coal The preferred target tonnage is based on the geometry of the basin and three-dimensional information derived from seismic surveys, drill holes with lengthy coal intercepts and geophysical down-hole logging data.""

Coal types and so on may differ to that of LBY, but this does have some similarities to the LBY report today.

In addition, the legal obstacles viz a vie the CSG vs UCG rights is more in favour of CTP than it is for LBY, and to cover their buts, CTP has applied to operate their acreage under both the Mining Act as well as the Petroleum act (although the exact legal standing in the NT has not been resolved as yet as far as I am aware).

While this comparing CTP with LBY is not exactly an "Apples with Apples" comparison of companies, it does provide some comparison imo
