I found this paper dealing with the choices a company has to make when transitioning a mine from open pit to UG. In the case of EM the decision has already been made by EVN but I think it may have created a new quandary. My question for management is; does the stage 3 open pit design destroy the crown pillar and hence the existing decline for the currently developed UG mine? Esh
