My understanding is that the Oak Dam West project is largely in the hands of the Development Team rather than the Exploration Team (functions rather than exact departmental names) which usually means that rather than a pure exploration play there has been sufficient information gathered to date to at least make an informed decision about the potential viability of exploitation of a resource (even though there is no JORC compliant resource). From a strategic point of view this would normally mean that ongoing drilling, rather than being directed solely at resource definition across the entirety of the mineralised envelope, that it is focussed on a smaller area that may represent an early-stage development opportunity. Other key parameters such a geotechnical information, grade distribution, etc. would become more important for design purposes.
