The most significant assays reported in this ann are from holes...

The most significant assays reported in this ann are from holes IR-AD240013 (high TREO assay) and IR-AD240070 (length of assayed intercept). The holes are easily mapped because they have the same coordinates (-13.18927,-39.92823). However, the holes do not intersect because one is 94m above the other. Apparently the data has not been audited by a competent person.

The location of these two Auger holes is marked in the image above and also contained in the kmz file below.

The ann refers to a "5,004 ppm TREO" assayed Auger Hole. Its location is not marked in the kmz. I believe the assay has never been published by GMN.

"Figure 2" on pg 3 shows pegmatites. These rocks are formed at the margins of cooling liquid granite. Clays are later formed by the weathering of the granite. Any REE that the clays contain will have been formed from the weathering of volcanic rocks at higher elevations.
The image above marks two ellipses (Cap1 and Cap2).
Cap1 is probably the source of any REE in the assayed auger holes below it.
Cap2 weathering can be seen spilling down the escarpment immediately below Cap2. (Zoom in with GE to see this process in detail. Similar processes can be seen in the BRE tenements). Clays below Cap2 may be capturing the freed REE elements.
Both Cap1 and Cap2 are prominent eTh radiometric sources, but have not been sampled by GMN.

GMN have had possession of about 1 ton of auger material for 6 months now. That material could have been subjected to the 'Amsul bottle roll test' for IAC. I wonder what result was ?
