I reckon that the conductor has the shape of cricket bat inclined to the northwest and with the blade dipping northeast. What remains of the handle is the blob of gossan at the surface. The holes that Creasy drilled hit the handle as did holes 1 to 3. Holes 4, 5, and 5 hit the shoulder of the bat. While hole 7 was aimed at the blade, the blade is dipping northeast and hole 7 probably went underneath it, missing it completely. That is because hole 7 was drilled steeply and it likely curved downward and went so steep as to pass under the blade.
