if someone does pop up , you are in a far better position to push your hand if you can point to holes in the ground with mineralisation - these deep holes wont be mined for a few years - but prove its there and a predator will have to pay.
history has shown that mines with better understood orebodies ( as well as having multiple ore sources ) are less likely to run into trouble.
given GCY, can’t blame him for wanting to bury this history once and for all.
