I think a large part of a stocks fortune is sentiment for that industry and or commodity. Mining has been off the boil for years and only just making a comeback. Gold plays are unloved too. But if gold futures find support as they are and bounce then sentiment will swing back. I see now as a good time to buy cheap gold plays with undetermined potential. AAJ fits that bill too me. Zero success has been more or less baked in on a low SP. Many like me would consider this significantly derisked compared to expensive plays with a hype train on them
