Having been in at the start due to an attachment to the contractor I think that yes there were definitely over expectations in early days.
@eshmun was predicting potentially different outcomes from the start and, as I have said before, many of their old posts are worth revisiting with hindsight ,

also FWIW; it was the expectations/findings of a firm with a geologist who had worked for Equigold which changed Mike Dunbar’s focus from Glenburgh to Dalgaranga (and I just saw that Mike last year joined. Emmerson Resources as CEO [ref]) … I think he used to hold a fair swag of shares here for quite a long time after he resigned in October 2018 [ref] - and may still do? - so he clearly continued to believe in the project .
