I presume if they go this way that CNJ/GSR shareholders will get free shares in the established company, and then to make up capital a public offering will be made.

Very similar to how LTR spun off MI6 - non lithium assets went to MI6 and if I recall existing LTR shareholders at the time got 1 share in MI6 for every 10 LTR shares they held, and then a public offering at 20c was raised to get if I recall $20 million working capital at 20c.

In other words, CNJ/GSR shareholders get free shares.

Is it a good idea - don't know, but GSR has a lot of gold assets so might be worthwhile for them but unclear about CNJ since Greenland is a little unclear too me.
