Firstly. Thoroughly enjoy your post. Looking at back at some of them you have mentioned 2D and 3D modeling and how water salinity can make it difficult to differentiate gas from water. Like near any computer program I would assume that the quality of output survey data would only ever be good as quality of data input. The flawed data in and flawed data out concept. This got me thinking about how salinity may impact the survey pulse. The more dense the salinity t\he higher the risk of refraction. Is this one of the reasons why they take fluid samples at several spots - flare pit, wellhead and the wellbore ?
