The confirmation that the steep lodes carry high grades is very positive for SMI. There could be more gold in those steep lodes than in the flat lodes that make up the resource. The steep lodes are likely to extend to significant depth giving SMI a pathway to long term high grade production from RAS.
Those flat lodes didn't appear magically. The fluids that deposited the gold must have ascended on steep lodes, then travelled out along flat structures. The steep structures must logically extend at depth.
So far SMI have only confirmed steep lodes in the southern half of RAS. The northern half logically will follow the same pattern with a steep feeder zone channeling mineralising fluids into the voids caused by flat shearing on the RAS shear zone.
This deposit may get much bigger yet.
