Defence bought Mertondale station to keep Chinese from owning it. They initially came out with an access agreement that was typical of canberra based office jockeys. It included the idea that anyone travelling on Nambo rd had to be authorised by defence. As expected it was completely ignored by all and sundry.
They have since subleased Mertondale ( stations in outback WA are all leasehold from the state) to a Leonora local who has another smal PLH.

DCN now GMD have been actively pursuing their HUB prospect (now an active mine) all the time PTN/KIN supposedly had access issues. I suggest they were using access issues to defer any expenditure on the leases , which is perfectly legit and now have decided to get moving.
