SQM wouldn’t have signed this project up if they were not interested and didn’t have the bandwidth to undertake the project. They have a dedicated team who looks after these projects and headquarters allocates X amount of dollars each year to invest in projects such as ours - trust me SQM will be just fine, they aren’t just one of the largest lithium companies in the world for no reason.

Also, don’t ever forget that not all lithium is equal and there is nothing like Australian coarse spodumene, typically high grade and easier to process, we have some of the best deposits in the world (greenbushes, liontown resources, azure resources the list goes on etc). I liken Australian lithium to be the new iron ore (You can’t compete with our thermal coal, there is nothing like it), the same will be for our lithium. It is more specialised than people think and hence why Mike and the team went we better stick to what we know and because lithium price (it won’t be forever) is in the doldrums they took the sensible low risk approach of doing a JV.
