Various important powers around this stock probably realised the massive mistakes in my opinion way back in 2016.
Most likely even earlier.
The reason the plug wasn't pulled quickly (when it should have been) after that, is that the company structures left in place allowed others to go on never really caring about shareholders risk and capital.
Oh they said they cared for RI's...
But they said one thing (and kept doing another)
It was all too easy for everyone involved to just carry on living the hi life and drinking the cool aid...
Nobody had any real skin in the game.
And the rules of the game allow them to keep doing it.
That's the tragedy about all this for retail investors.
Nobody gives a....not even the ASX.
The clock was ticking on the "new"? crew (including the CEO) from 2016
Alarm bells rang loud and clear with the massive missed guidance
The staggering thing is how long it's taken for the main spring to unwind
And that nobody seems accountable
It's been said various RI's are naive, don't "know anything about business", haven't known what companies are going through, don't realise what risks they are taking with start ups, "invest too much in small caps", and various other platitudes of condescending nonsense.
Oh they have known alright.
Direct RI's know way more than the big end of town, brokers, and other spruiker "so called" hot shot investors given them credit for...
They know how to read character and they know what is governance.
Most people lead lives that are accountable. So they know what's right and wrong alright (thanks very much).
(It's called "does it pass the pub test"?)
It's just (other than voting with their feet and getting out of the whole unfortunate debacle), what else can RI's do about the situation?
The ASX rules of the game prevent them from having any real say.
What other platform is there other than one like this?
....emails, letters, attendance to AGM's, phone calls, questions to management (even attempts at rallying class actions) have all clearly fallen on deaf ears.
RI's have (and will continue to have) deserved better.
I sincerely hope for all RI's that I'm wrong.
But hope and "true belief" has never come to anything with this crowd....
That's the cold hard reality.
All IMO (and good luck).
