ah I see where the confusion is. Yes charity is very different, and I am not donating anything. I am investing. Let that be clear.
but one similarity exists, charities aim to fund cancer research. Taking part in this retail offer also helps fund cancer research.
clearly one is given for no return (charity) and the other as a part owner (retail offer).
The other point is that CHM are asking for retail cash. It makes little financial sense to take part purely from a financial standpoint. But I am choosing to take part at a financial cost, to help this company find a cure for cancer.
Not a hero, but I know it is going to directly hit CHM’s bank account. And that to me, is worth the cost. I don’t expect you or anyone else to do the same. But I am sure the company would appreciate it if they got more cash rather than less.
