Votorantim Nickel Division:
- Annual production: 44 thousand nickel tons. Of this total, 25 thousand are electrolytic nickel and 19 thousand are nickel mattes.
- Three operating branches: Niquelândia (GO) – extraction of nickel laterite ore and production of nickel carbonate; São Miguel Paulista (São Paulo/SP) – production of cobalt and electrolytic nickel; and Fortaleza de Minas (MG) – production of nickel mattes for exports and sulfuric acid.
The mine in Niquelândia (GO) is one of the biggest nickel reservations in Brazil and grants to Votorantim Metais the necessary supply for at least 20 years more.
