That is the point entirely: if you look at how much debt has been paid from mining, well: you can't. They raised 20 million from mum and dad retail for their last repayment, and the rest seems to be restructured debt (lenders taking a loss). Aeris are not paying off their debt from mining copper, unfortunately.
However, I can see the other side of the coin, and if the copper price holds the company has a shot at making solid profits. What I don't appreciate is the lack of transparency around the debt, and how difficult it is as a potential investor to evaluate the company's performance on this debt.
