I'm not happy about the extension because it seems like a waste of time unless there are good results incoming. but in response to your comment, I think it's a good thing. it's an immediate and public vote of confidence in the company by it's director and it means he has more skin in the game.
I also think they may be trying to drive the share price up so more people participate in the offer.
