    Kinda... but you have to bear in mind if they set the buyback price too low and the SP stays higher then nothing gets bought. You could argue that they then retain the cash so there's nothing lost, but at the same time if you say you're going to do a buyback, you should deliver! As long as the purchase price is below "fair value" there will still be a benefit to holders, just not quite as much. It's certainly not the case that paying a slightly higher price only benefits those wanting out, and they wont have "overpaid" if the price never gets down to the lower level.
