    Can you stop missing the point entirely?

    The price difference between a company's float and the current one is nothing to do with how good or bad a chart is.

    They're not the same thing, not even vaguely related.

    If a company listed at $10 in 2002, went down to 0.1c in 2003 and then had a perfectly linear chart to $1 today, the price would 90% less than the float price, but the chart would be absolutely outstandingly brilliant. If the company listed at $10, hit $100 in 2003 and had a linear chart to $1 today, the first and last price would be identical, but the chart would be even worse than AEB's. What you paid for your shares means nothing. Whether to sell, hold or buy now depends on what they're going to do in the future.

    The value of a chart is in predicting the future, otherwise there would be no point talking about them. Previous patterns in a chart's distant history generally have no bearing on the current situation.

    That you would even try arguing this point shows a complete lack of understanding of (or even knowledge of) some of the most fundamental aspects of investing. No wonder you have AEB as a buy.
