Onavo Extend isn't in the same league at all, though it's an interesting one. As far as I can make out, it saves data by grabbing any image files that are in the data you're downloading (eg a web page when browsing) and reduces the image quality before passing it through to your browser. This results in smaller files, so less data but also a more blurry image.

Wangle aims to compress all data (or as much as possible) and then decompress on the device, so no loss of quality.

Onavo makes no claims on speed increase, but in theory downloading images should be quicker as the files are smaller, but again of lower quality. Running Speedtest when connected through Onavo VPN results in slightly slower speeds.

I don't think Wangle has anything to worry about from Onavo.
