Although this is far from convenient and not what we were hoping for today, it is fair to say that raising money for mining projects is extremely hard right now. The velocity of money has slowed significantly. Even more so when operating in less than Tier 1 countries such as the DRC. Presently, the Chinese are really the only ones willing to invest in this nation.
Unfortunately, as good as the metrics are for VEC, we are not immune from these difficulties.
I guess all we can do is hope that funds are in fact raised, and raised favourably for shareholders, and not via a Patterson's classic that involves lots of shares, free options with pricing determined via a future VWAP price. If this is the path taken then we are in deep S....
The resource appears to be there, as is much of the equipment, permits to mine and environmental permits as well if my memory serves me correctly. So its not all doom and gloom.
Just a classic case of hurry up and wait.
