IF as many of you suggest the acquisition is with Centennial, don't expect trading to commence any time soon. All AUL could be doing is preparing a submission to the Administrators Korda Mentha. Remembering CTL is in administration a DOCA was arranged with Avior Consulting, this is being challenged by the biggest shareholder of CTL Gandel and his private company Octagonal. So legal issues as to the ownership of property associated with CTL which will draf on. Then prior to any acquisition by AUL of CTL it would need to be a submission put forward to the creditors of AUL - no such submission yet put forward, and if and when it does there will be a time frame to arrange a creditors meeting, and need to be accepted by the creditors.
People seem convinced that the acquisition will be of Centennial. All AUL have said is they had discussions and considered, and continue to monitor the situation. No where in the last quarterly did AUL state they are in negotiations with Korda Mentha or Centennial, just monitoring the situation. Could it be possible that AUL is considering acquisition of another company or project so as not totally reliant on the Woods Point Dyke swarm? There are members of the BOD of AUL who have their fingers in other pies that maybe AUL are considering so as to spread the risk.
Another issue is the plant operating at full capacity, it has been suggested to me that the plant cant run at full capacity due to the treatment/storage of tailings generated from the plant (currently stored underground) remembering they will not be able to get a surface tailings storage facility in the region, they are reliant on depositing tailings underground, this has its own headaches and risks associated which need to be managed. So even if they do acquire A1, processing will still be a bottle neck as depositing the tailings may well impact the underground operations at Morning Star
