It's an interesting situation. For many years I've been very cynical about how ridiculously useless the regulatory bodies are, but even I wouldn't have expected this suspension of the best part of a year to be possible. Even several years ago I thought it was clearly time for the regulators to take some action (not that I expected it). It has been an interesting company to watch for many reasons, one of them is that it's a demonstration of how absurdly far companies can go without anything being done about it, which shows the importance of doing your own due diligence because the regulators are clearly not going to give you any level of protection in almost any situation and the best you can hope for is generally some token effort well after you've already lost all your money. If they're not intervening with AEB now, under normal circumstances you can expect nothing.
Once AEB does cease existing I'm wondering if anything will be done to investigate what has been happening over the years, but I expect it won't.
