I really don't see how this would be possible. If it wasn't for this rights issue the share price would still likely have been 13c probably more which would give it a marketcap approaching $50mill. Calling in the debt (if that was even possible within the contract) wouldn't give anywhere near enough shares to induce a takeover. I don't think it has anything to do with this type of scenario.
