Governor Raúl Jalil and the managing director of Galan Lithium, Juan Pablo Vargas de la Vega, signed a memorandum to advance with the installation of a lithium carbonate factory in Catamarca, linked to the development of the company's mining project in the Salar Dead Man's West
On this occasion, in the signed memorandum of understanding, the company Galan Lithium S.A. expresses the commitment to develop in the province of Catamarca a lithium carbonate production plant associated with its project in the exploration stage in Hombre Muerto Oeste, outside the Salar del Hombre Muerto area, as well as the possibility of commercializing a early flow of lithium where the state company CAMYEN will have priority, in order to strengthen an associative system in pursuit of greater industrialization at this stage
On the other hand, the Galan authorities expressed their willingness to contribute resources up to 7% of sales in this early phase due to the lower industrialization.

Meeting with YMAD
On the other hand, at the Government House, Governor Raúl Jalil received the new president of YMAD, Juan Pablo Limodio, with whom he had a talk about his arrival at the state mining company.

Limodio highlighted that he found a balanced company with its accounts in order.

The authorities agreed on the importance of continuing to work together for the arrival of new mining investments and, therefore, a new property - located on La Rioja and Vicario Segura streets - will be allocated to unify the offices of the Ministry of Mining, YMAD and CAMYEN .

The objective of this new building is that everything related to mining activity is concentrated in a single space to be able to coordinate work.

The Governor maintained that “YMAD is a source of pride for the province” and highlighted the importance of job creation, since of the more than 500 employees the company has, 90% are from Catamarca.
