Impala import concentrate from Zimbabwe and so do Anglo, but thats from mines they own (annual reports). Used Autocatalysts are also imported. I dont know about their spare capacity, but thats true for all smelters, and they all have their own bottlnecks in terms of the base metal and PGM refining capacity. The Julimar concentrate is likely to sit in the middle - not a true nickel concentrate and not a true PGM concentrate, so I dont think there is an obvious buyer yet, but the met testing will give an indication of nickel and PGM grades in concentrate. You are right about the other smelters, but as far as I know Jinchuan does not have enough PGM refining capacity. Its all going to evolve, really. IIm no, geologist, but was encouraged by the last set of results, a large lower grade halo is good to see, shows a lot of mineralisation in the system, and exploration will need to delineate the higher grade shoots.
