Any older S/Holders who do not do their own I'net banking or Bpay, should also be aware that if you are going take up the entitlement by EFT, you will need a "unique reference number". However, when you get that number, some banks ETF system will not accept the "Unique number" becos it is made up of 16 digits being a mix of numbers and letters.
Westpac for example, that is also Automic's bank, only caters for 7 numbered reference on their EFT system.
If you run into this problem, contact Sarah at BCN, she has been most helpful and can issue you an alternative reference number.
When I encountered this difficulty, I rang Automic - not a helpful outcome.
S/holders should also realise, that this is not a problem of BCN's making.One would have thought that the registry would have check their depositing details with their own bank before undertaking the task?
I also never received the Entitlement form in the mail, but again had to ring Sarah who got a form to me by email the same day.
Hope this may help anyone else with these difficulties, and a good and very fair call by BCN to extend the Entitlement closing date under these circumstances.
