I agree with you on the last bit. I actually used the paper one with BPay but I'm in WA and had to check my post box several times plus check the Automic register website.
It's quite likely it won't be strongly supported by retail SH but that's because they have strongly supported (committed) earlier. IMVHO they will get the benefit of that (the courage of their convictions). Mgt have done what they can. Few can hold against a committed assault by shorters on wounded prey. That said I think past the worst and hope to benefit from here (and arrogantly from my experience). Note I have never shorted personally. I leave it to FM's who manage funds for me. Whether they targeted ASM as one of many I don't know and never will. (I would have said unlikley).
