I phoned commsec 'James' on the global desk, and they told me they would not do it.
See if they have changed their mind and are prepared to act on clients instructions.... call and ask to speak to someone in 'corporate actions' or 'global markets'.
What you need is a 'global trading' account with them and they have to send the ASX MOB stock (divisible by 275) to a HSBC custodian acc with the details of your Commsec global trading account.
If they are still refusing, set up a new Westpac local trading acc, global trading acc, transfer the stock in as soon as the local acc is set up and phoe Westpac global markets and I have high certaintly they will help you.
